Not Any Old Corned Beef Sandwich

If, perhaps, when you were eating a corned beef sandwich, you suddenly realized that you had made almost the entire sandwich from scratch, including baking the bread, making the mayonnaise, making the sauerkraut, and brining and then cooking the corned beef, then maybe you would take a picture of it too.

The corned beef looks delicious. But whoever heard of a corn beef sandwich on white bread with mayonniase?

i know some readers of this blog may disagree, but i stand by my decision to put mayonnaise on the sandwich.

Disagree with the mayo, but CHAPEAU for the amazing effort.

As a Jew it’s my duty to let you know that you can also make MUSTARD.
As a food lover, well, I know that there’s a lot of different ways to whip up a mayo.

    BUT STILL.
    MUSTARD.
(and DARKISH BREAD with seeds in it.)

    BUT CHAPEAU.

At every family gathering involving turkey/pastrami/corned beef I get weird looks (or worse) for putting mayo on my sandwiches.

I will have to add homemade mustard to my list for next time…and have been searching hard for rye flour around here but no luck so far.
