Last week’s BlackBox Radio (a weekly news show that I help produce) features an interview by Kate McCabe with Tarek Dika, a Dearborn resident who was in Beirut as the war was starting. Back in the US, Dika discusses the situation in Lebanon now, Hezbollah’s role, and its implications for the rest of the Middle East. I recommend listening to this interview for its critical analysis of the situation that you will not catch in the mainstream media. Here’s a link to the BlackBox Radio July 25 show with Tarek Dika interview, which comes in at around 3:45.
Also, this week’s (August 1) BlackBox show has tons of interesting content on lebanon:
On this week’s show we focus on Israel’s war on Lebanon and how people in the U.S. are opposing it. We hear audio from a protest against Israel that took over the Brooklyn Bridge Saturday (Fred Nguyen of WBAI, producer) and a frontline report from Bilal El Amine in the south of Lebanon (Bilal El Amine for KPFA, producer). Plus local, national, and international headlines.
Here is BlackBox Radio for August 1, 2006.

Also, WBAI’s Wake Up Call Radio in New York has been covering the situation as well.
